i had way too much fun being a creeper around julien berthier's studio out at fort d'aubervilliers. my friend tracey is writing freelance articles for the new design bureau and asked me to come along and take photos of her interview with julien. so official. but check out his work. really sweet sculptures and installations.
edit: here's the article. apparently he wanted it to focus more on the drawings. oh, well!
being somewhat skeptical of the french world of graphic design from the start, finding something that resonates with me, it doesn't even need to be for anything more than aesthetic reasons, will stop me dead in my tracks. antoine+manuel totally did that for me. their stuff is crazy cool. check it out.
finally made our way to versailles... it was a sunday so we got herded around the place like cattle. but even with swarms of tourists around, bobbing their heads in into every picture you take, it was impossible to get a bad shot. the place is just too beautiful.
this is my alternative. my way to stay connected to people back in michigan. my way to journal the everyday. my way to showcase all the creative & fun stuff that will come with eating, sleeping, & breathing art @ mica. take everything i say with a grain of salt. enjoy.
