check it out. but don't judge. i'm well aware that i probably built the whole thing the wrong way and the long way... that being said, suggestions from those in the know would be greatly appreciated. it is definitely a work in progress. and there are definitely some things i'm still trying to figure out. (like why it takes so long for the images to load. and how to get my name to stay when you scroll.)

Its looking good, Becky! It appears from the source code that you built the site in dreamweaver and the images are positioned within an immense table with hundreds and hundreds of rows and columns. This is probably contributing to your slow page load time.
Making your name and navigation stay in one place when the window scrolls is a simple matter of using "position:fixed;" in your CSS on the wrapping element, but that is not going to work with all of these things laid out in a massive table.
